Yusheng worked with Baker Hughes, a leading US energy service company, for over 20 years. At Baker Hughes, he served as technical advisor and several management positions with Completion Technology Innovation. He is currently an active member of the task committee of ISO 23936 standards on non-metallic materials in contact with media related to oil and gas production. 

Yusheng’s extensive experience has equipped him with a deep understanding in:

          - Advanced composites in oilfield downhole applications

          - Composite property degradation and failure in HPHT downhole fluid and gas environments

          - Constituent materials HPHT hot-wet environmental resistance and selection

          - Composite downhole tool design

          - HPHT in-situ thermo-mechanical testing and analysis system & method development

In addition to his industry expertise, Yusheng authored more than 30 technical publications, and is the inventor of 8 US patents, and several related European and Canada patents in composite downhole applications and material system development.

Before joining Baker Hughes, Yusheng taught and conducted research at major universities in China and the United States.

YSY Materials Consultant is located in Houston, Texas, and Yusheng is the owner and primary consultant of the company.
